Book Review A Plain Scandal by Amanda Flower

Book Description:
The Amish in the quiet Appleseed Creek community are under attack. An unknown assailant is cutting off the long hair of Amish women and the beards of Amish men. Computer specialist, Chloe Humphrey, is alarmed over the crimes against the Amish and worries over how the events will impact the Troyer family, especially her housemate Becky and Becky’s older brother Timothy. Her anxiety increases when she discovers the body of an Amish businessman, who had been stabbed in the back and his beard cut off. Now, Chloe and her friends must find the culprit behind the hair-cutting before someone else pays the ultimate price.

Book review:
Firstly I was sent this book for an honest review.

I read the first book in this series and jumped at the chance to review the second book. I have been reading much slower this past year but loved this book. What I really like about this series is its not the typical amish book. This book features Chloe who is now working at the local college and is not amish. She shares a house with an amish girl who has left the the church and has a special connection with Becky's brother. Someone is cutting the hair of Amish women and the beards of Amish men and Chloe is investigating. Add the death of an Amish Businessman and the mystery deepens. I love the way the book played out and the different turns. I also love seeing how the different characters interacted. A really good read and I can't wait for the next book in this series.
