My Review:
I was sent this book as part of the CFBA tour the end of last month but it was delayed and I only received it last week. I had been looking forward to this story and I wasn't disappointed. Maggie's Journey is the first of the series and is about Margaret who has just found out she is adopted. She feels betrayed by both her real parents and her adoptive parents. She doesn't know why its a secret and she wants to find out who she really is. She and an aunt and a family friend Charles make a trip to her Grandmother in Arkansas. I did feel for Maggie as her mother seems to find fault in everything Maggie does and can't seem to show love. There were times I really didn't like her mother but I am glad Lena shows us into her mothers mind. Her time traveling to and in Arkansas was a changing time in more ways than one. A good start to the series and I can't to read then next book to see what happens.
