Sanctuary by Molly Noble Bull

Sanctuary is a riveting read about Rachel Levin a Jewess and Pierre Dupre an Huguenot. Rachel love ones are murdered in 1740 and she and Pierre seek refuge in a Church until a military captain who killed her family arrives.
We then see Rachel and Pierre married in a marriage of connivance and see them flee the clutches of the captain hoping to reach Scotland.
This story was riveting seeing how the Jews and Huguenots were persecuted and watching to see if Rachel and Pierre's would escape the clutches of the captain.
I found this book very hard to put down and wanting to read just a bit more each time to see what would happen next. They way Molly writes is captivating and brings the characters to life.
I cant wait for the next book in the series. This is definitely a book I would recommend.
