Update on what's going on here.

The past week has been interesting. Thursday was the anniversary of Mum's passing a year ago. I had been dreading it in many ways as I knew it could be a tough day. I wasn't sleeping well and I know that was partly due to the emotions of the time.

In many ways Wednesday was difficult also as Mum passed away on a Wednesday even though the date was Thursday.

I did ride out to the cemetery as I felt I needed to and also didn't want to ask someone to take me as I needed time alone. I have to say riding the bike again felt great. With all the walking I am doing the riding felt so much easier. The down side was the wrist didn't like it. It was ok for the part of the ride but as they are working on one road I needed to take a detour which was up a steep hill that even walking up you know about it so I had to walk the bike up and that hurt the wrist. Its been playing up since I jarred it again about 5 weeks back.

On Thursday on my walk I got a bit teary at one place same as the day before. The weather conditions were so similar with it being overcast and the sun trying to break through. As I turned the corner I looked and thought I saw an emu and then realised it was a kangaroo. It was so cool I haven't seen one there before and it was such a surprise. Then one of the church members lives on this street and has a cat carrier outside his unit and he put in a stuffed lion. I had to laugh it was so cute and today I told him how it cheered me up.

A friend arranged to take me out for the day to a bigger shopping area about an hour away. It was so nice to just get out of the town for the day and do a little shopping. What was even nicer was being able to get a few clothing items I needed but to find I needed a smaller size than I had picked up to try on.

With all that has been happening the blog has suffered. I have read a couple of books in September and I will get reviews up ASAP. The warmer weather sure helps. I am still having issues with the wrist and am hoping to see a specialist soon to see what can be done with it. Typing gets painful after awhile so have to limit typing at times.
