Here is the cover and blurb of Carlas lastest book and doesn't the cover look wonderful!

Back of the Book
Triumphs in the Coliseum—and society bedchambers—made gladiator Alexius of Iolcos famous for his brutal skill and womanizing ways. Yet the only woman who intrigues him is Tiberia the Younger, who now needs his help. Protecting Tiberia places Alexius in the greatest danger he has ever known—from her vengeful father and his own heart...
Becoming a temple priestess may be an honor, but Tibi can't bear to surrender her freedom or her newfound faith. Alexius's solution stuns her. Marriage...to a gladiator! Scorned by her noble family, Tibi always felt unworthy. But with her champion by her side, can she accept—and give—a love strong enough to vanquish their enemies?

Carla, when did you know you wanted to be a writer?

Carla,
Have you always been fascinated by ancient Rome? I always start with a setting so I'm curious what prompted you to choose yours.

Jennifer wrote "ooooooooo!!!!!! LOL, I've got all her books! Not that I am a fanatic or whatever! ;-) but, I do want to know why she picked the period of the Roman Gladiator to first write about. Not that I am disappointed that she picked it! Caros is still my fav! :D"

(this came from the link on face book)

Great idea, Jenny! My question is curiosity on how she did her research? What were her favorite books/websites? Did she have to interview history professors or anything like that?

Carla I am curious, what made you write about ancient Rome and gladiators? this is such intense background, I have not read your stories but it looks like a difficult time period to me for romances.

Hehehe...I see my comment made it over here. Thanks Ausjenny! I got another one. Do you model each of your characters after someone you personally know. I know your last story was influenced by your parents.

Carla -- I want to know if you've visited Rome and, if so, if you found enough in today's world that related to the time period of your book (almost wondering if it would be best to just see it all in your mind through books or if it helps to see it in today's world)?

How do you balance your writing and home/family life? Is it difficult finding enough peace and quiet to write? When are you most productive? Are you sad to leave this series of books in Ancient Rome?
