ABOUT THE BOOK

Two Christmas stories - one historical, one contemporary - under one cover!

Love Finds You under the Mistletoe: An Appalachian Christmas

A promise to her dying sister compels Julia Mayfield to take her young nephew to Mistletoe, Kentucky, a tiny town tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains. Sparks fly when she meets David Armstrong, a World War II veteran like herself. Even as shadows from the past weave a dangerous web around Julia and David, will their love flourish like the mistletoe that blankets the nearby hills?

Love Finds You under the Mistletoe: Once Upon a Christmas Eve

Hollie Goodnight's store has just been voted best Christmas shop in America. All the new publicity draws flamboyant novelist Van Keaton to the cozy town of Noel, Missouri, demanding to write Hollie's story - a dramatic tale of misfortune and triumph. She is swept up in his world of beautiful words and fanciful interludes. . .until Owen Quigly, her lifelong best friend, launches a plan to win her back.

My Review:
I really loved this book both stories were really good.
In An Appalachian Christmas we see Julia taking her young nephew to Mistletoe to meet his grandparents. After a long trip on the train and now needing a ride to Mistletoe she finally gets a ride only to have some car troubles this is when she gets there she meets David Armstrong. I love how the story unfolds with between the locals, Julia and her nephew. Julia is also dealing with issues to do with her parents and sister and I love how Irene deals with this. Lovely story which as a tie to our second story in this book.

In Once Upon a Christmas Eve we read the story of Holly Rose Goodnight who was left on the doorstep of a  christmas store on Christmas eve. Vince has come to write her story and finds himself attracted to Holly. Hollys best friend Owen also is realising how much he cares for Holly also. I love how this story plays out also. Holly's story is very touching and the way she faces some of her fears head on are moving also.

This is a wonderful book of 2 stories connected by Mistletoe is a good read.

Thanks very much for reviewing our book. Anita and I enjoyed working together on this project, and I pray that God will use it to draw our readers closer to him. I live in West Virginia, rather than Kentucky, but I'm still in the Appalachian foothills.

Again, Jenny, thanks for featuring our book. I've been invited to several book signings since the release of our anthology. My next one will be on November 12 at the Kentucky Book Fair, Louisville. This is a most outstanding book fair. The crowds are large and enthusiastic. It's a 250 mile drive for us (husband always goes with me), but we enjoy it. If any of you live nearby, I'd encourage you to attend the Book Fair.
