Morning for Dove by Martha Rogers blog tour.

BLOG TOUR TIME!
MORNING FOR DOVE by MARTHA ROGERS

cover Morning Dove

Race. Culture. They can unite. They often divide.

When Luke Anderson falls for Dove Morris, he doesn't anticipate the prejudice he'll face from his own family. Dove's skin, such a beautiful reflection of her Native American heritage, serves as a point of contention between Luke and his parents. Will a literal trial by fire confirm Luke's love, or burn it away?

About Martha Rogers
Sophomore Novelist, Long-time Believer

Martha Rogers
Martha Rogers placed her faith in Jesus Christ 65 years ago. He has seen her through her step-father's sexually abusive behavior toward her sister and brother, her own breast cancer, two mastectomies, two miscarriages, her husband's heart attack, her grandson's cystic fibrosis, and the deaths of her parents. She holds a Master's degree in education and enjoyed a 36-year teaching career. To say she's an inspiration to those of us trying to walk a faithful path is a gross understatement.

My Review:
This is another good book. I haven't read the first in the series somehow it got lost on its way here but I was still able to read book 2 without being confused about who was who. I loved what Martha did with Doves character. Loved Dove from the moment I met her. I also loved the story about Dove and Luke. Reading about Luke's mothers fear was interesting also and understandable. I loved reading about life in Oklahoma Territory before statehood and the issues between some ranchers and farmers. Great story and I cant wait for book 3.

This sounds good; I appreciate you sharing about it. I'm glad it's a stand alone book, too. I dislike when you pick up the second or third in a series and are completely lost.
Blessings,
Karen

What a lovely cover, and premise. I think native Indians are among the most beautiful people! And yes, prejudice runs rampant - even among Christians.

Martha, thank you for being a witness of what "Christ-like" really means!

Thanks Donna and Donna,
I agree Donna, I loved the way Martha wrote this story. Its interesting I had just finished a woman called Sage by DiAnn Mills and her heroine was also part Indian. It was interesting reading the stories

this is book 2 in a series but you can read book 2 without having read book one. I am still to read book one.

I don't know why I'm just finding this, but I can't thank you enough for the kind words. I planned the books so that they could be read independently of each other, but so you would still know the characters from the other books. I'm glad you enjoyed Dove and Luke.
